Description |
Magna Carta window depicting First Prayer of Congress with Jacob Duché. This stained glass window panel, part of the Sixth Window, The Liberty Window, reproduces Matteson's painting: "Prayer in the First Congress, Sept. 1774." Rev. Jacob Duché is seen offering the Invocation. This was part of the larger window which depicts the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215, the protest of Christian England against absolutism in government. |
